what does your Estonian adventure look like?

Day 1: Arrival in Tallinn Medieval Streets & Slow Beginnings

Your journey begins in Tallinn, where cobbled alleyways, medieval towers and hidden courtyards tell the story of centuries past.

After arrival at the airport, a private transfer brings you into the heart of the UNESCO-listed Old Town, where you settle into a beautiful boutique hotel housed inside a historic merchant’s building.

Later in the afternoon, we explore Tallinn together with a local guide, wandering through quiet lanes, artisan workshops and centuries-old streets shaped by Hanseatic trade and Baltic history.

The evening is free to enjoy Tallinn at your own pace — whether that means a candlelit restaurant, a modern Nordic dinner experience or simply a slow walk beneath the lantern-lit city walls.

Overnight in a 4* Boutique hotel in Tallinn

Day 2: Ancient Bogs & Estonia’s Wild Coast

Leaving Tallinn behind, we journey into the wild beauty of Lahemaa National Park, a landscape of forests, bogs, fishing villages and windswept Baltic coastline.

We walk the famous Viru Bog boardwalk, an accessible trail that leads deep into one of Estonia’s ancient wetland ecosystems. These bog landscapes are among the country’s most important natural habitats and play a vital role in biodiversity and climate resilience.

Depending on the season, we may forage for wild berries or mushrooms together with local guides, learning how people have gathered food from these forests for generations.

Later, we visit Palmse Manor and continue toward the coast, where weathered fishermen’s cottages and hidden shoreline shelters tell stories of Estonia’s maritime past — including old smuggler hideaways tucked between forests and dunes along the remote Baltic coast.

In the evening, we arrive at a beautiful heritage manor hotel surrounded by forests and rivers. Here, there is time to unwind with a traditional Estonian sauna experience before dinner.

Overnight in a comfortable room in a Heritage Manor Hotel.

Day 3: Into Bear Country, from Coastline to Wilderness

Today we travel deeper into Estonia’s forest landscapes.

Along the way we stop for lunch near the Baltic Sea, with time for a walk along the quiet shoreline or even a refreshing swim if weather allows.

By afternoon, the landscape changes. Villages disappear, forests grow denser and silence settles in. We continue into the Alutaguse region, home to one of Estonia’s most important brown bear populations.

Here, tucked away at the edge of a forest clearing, awaits our private wildlife hide.

Inside the comfortable wooden hide are sleeping areas, large viewing windows and everything needed for a quiet night immersed in nature. Once settled in, we remain inside until morning, allowing wildlife to move naturally and undisturbed through the landscape around us.

As dusk falls, the anticipation begins.

Estonia is home to around 1,000 brown bears, and this region offers one of Europe’s best opportunities to observe them respectfully in the wild. Alongside bears, there is also the chance to see moose, foxes, raccoon dogs and other forest wildlife.

Tonight is not just about wildlife watching, it is about slowing down, listening and becoming part of the landscape for a while.

Overnight at a private bear hide experience.

Day 4: Forest Trails & Lake Peipsi

You wake in the quiet of Alutaguse, with morning light filtering through the forest and the memory of the bear hide still fresh, whether from a sighting or simply the feeling of sleeping inside the wild.

We start the day with a short drive to a local tavern for a warm breakfast and coffee, a simple moment to ease back into the rhythm of the day and share stories from the night.

From here, we continue through some of Estonia’s most beautiful forest landscapes, with gentle walks through bogs, mixed woodland and along small streams. This is a region full of quiet richness, including the elusive Siberian flying squirrel – almost never seen, but a powerful symbol of these old forests and their hidden life.

By midday, we reach the wide shores of Lake Peipsi. Here we enjoy a relaxed lakeside lunch with views stretching across the water, and if the weather allows, a refreshing swim in the shallow sands.

Lake Peipsi is both landscape and cultural borderland, where Estonian and Russian traditions meet in small fishing villages and wooden homes along the shore.

In the afternoon we return to Tallinn, arriving back in the city by evening for a final shared dinner and a last moment together to reflect on the journey through Estonia’s wild heart.

Overnight in a 4* Boutique hotel in Tallinn.

Day 5: Departure

Your final morning in Tallinn begins slowly,  with the rustle of Old Town streets below, the scent of fresh coffee, and perhaps one last stroll through the quiet courtyards before the world fully wakes.

After breakfast , your private transfer awaits to bring you to the airport at your preferred time.

You leave Estonia with more than photographs alone – carrying memories of silent forests, ancient wetlands, wildlife encounters and a deeper connection to one of Europe’s most quietly extraordinary landscapes.

conservation and giving back

At MOYO Nature Travel, we believe travel should contribute positively to the places we visit.

Part of the proceeds from this journey support the work of the Estonian Fund for Nature (ELF), one of Estonia’s leading conservation organisations. ELF works across forest, wetland and species protection, including the restoration of drained peatlands and bog ecosystems — vital landscapes for biodiversity, water systems and climate resilience.

Whenever possible, we aim to include visits to restoration areas or conservation initiatives during the journey, allowing travellers to see firsthand how nature recovery is taking shape in Estonia.

By joining this experience, you contribute not only to meaningful travel, but also to the long-term protection of Estonia’s wild landscapes and the species that depend on them.
