Journeys in ESTONIA

There is something quietly magical about Estonia.

Not the kind of place that shouts for attention, but one that slowly draws you in. A place of endless forests, ancient bogs, remote coastlines and dark skies where nature still feels wonderfully untamed. Here, brown bears wander through vast woodland landscapes, wolves and lynx move unseen through the forests, and the rhythm of life remains closely tied to the seasons.

This isn’t just travel. It’s travel with purpose.

Why Estonia?

Our journeys in Estonia are designed for travellers who want to experience nature in a slower, more meaningful way. Together with local guides and conservationists, we explore some of Estonia’s most remarkable landscapes and discover the stories, wildlife and traditions that shape them.

What You’ll Experience

Depending on the season, we may spend quiet evenings in wildlife hides watching for brown bears, explore the extraordinary beauty of Estonia’s bog landscapes, or head out with local experts to search for wild berries and mushrooms hidden amongst the forests. During migration periods, wetlands and coastlines come alive with birdlife, making Estonia one of Northern Europe’s hidden gems for birdwatching.

We also spend time with the people who call these landscapes home. Sharing local food, stories and traditions offers another way of understanding the deep connection between people and place. And after days spent outdoors, few experiences feel more fitting than ending the day in a traditional Estonian sauna.

Along the remote Baltic coastline, windswept shores and small fishing communities reveal another side of Estonia. Hidden among the dunes and forests are old smuggler shelters and secret coastal hideaways, reminders of a rugged past where people and sea were deeply intertwined.

a wildness that stays with you long after you leave

At MOYO Nature Travel, we believe travel can contribute positively to nature and local communities when done with care. That is why we work closely with local partners and small-scale initiatives that share our values around conservation, authenticity and respect for the places we visit.

Estonia may be one of Europe’s quieter destinations, but for those willing to slow down and look a little closer, it reveals a wildness that stays with you long after you leave.

giving back to estonia

At MOYO Nature Travel, we believe travel should give something back to the landscapes we visit. In Estonia, we aim to support the important work of the Estonian Fund for Nature (ELF), one of the country’s leading conservation organisations.

ELF works across forest, wetland and species protection, including the restoration of drained peatlands and bog ecosystems — vital landscapes for biodiversity, water systems and climate resilience. Whenever possible, we hope to include visits to restoration areas within our journeys, allowing travellers to see firsthand how nature recovery is taking shape on the ground.

By travelling with us, you contribute not only to meaningful nature experiences, but also to the long-term protection and restoration of Estonia’s wild places and the species that depend on them.
